Based in Nairobi, Kenya, the Africa Digital Media Group comprises the Institute, Studios and Foundation. The Institute (ADMI) is Eastern Africa’s premier creative arts, media and technology training institution. The Studios produce compelling African stories and games to engage audiences worldwide. The Foundation mobilizes capital, talent and other resources to support the engagement of Africa’s digital generation in the fast-growing, global creative economy.

ADMI and its affiliates form an innovative social enterprise through which the next generation of digital professionals and creative entrepreneurs get the training, mentorship and platform they need to turn their passion into a profession.

Chief Commercial Officer

The CCO is responsible for growing the footprint and impact of the Group across offerings, constituencies, vectors and jurisdictions. This creative and seasoned professional is comfortable articulating the Group’s value proposition to diverse groups ranging from customers and donors to investors and policy-makers. An inspiring story-teller, s/he is as comfortable delivering a Ted Talk as s/he is developing a pitch deck and negotiating a term sheet.  With a diverse skill set and ‘can do’ attitude, s/he forges powerful partnerships with customers and investors in the local community and across the world.

The ideal candidate has over 10 years’ experience and a ‘Midas Touch’, demonstrating a solid track record in rolling out new initiatives that deliver quantifiable results. S/he holds an MBA or other Masters’ degree and has a blend of global and regional business leadership experience.

Head of Partnerships/Foundation Manager

The Head of Partnerships sets the strategy and develops the structure to conceptualize, identify, cultivate and secure cash and in-kind investments and sponsorships from or through corporations, academic institutions, development partners, public agencies and individuals. This post offers an exciting opportunity for a creative and diligent self-starter to develop innovative and inspiring fundraising strategies by identifying potential partners worldwide, designing special engagement avenues for philanthropic, development, government, individual and corporate donors, structuring and delivering win-win joint projects, improving our fundraising communications, strengthening impact and financial accountability metrics and building long-term capacity for future fundraising.

Digital Africa Fellowship – Global Fundraising & Partnerships

Join the Africa Digital Media Foundation in Nairobi or overseas for 3 to 12 months to support our movement to get young creatives trained and employed! Our fellowship program is looking for curious, experienced individuals convinced that technology and the arts can advance economic and social development.

This Fellowship is an exciting opportunity for a creative and passionate self-starter to develop innovative and inspiring fundraising strategies by identifying potential partners worldwide, designing special engagement avenues for philanthropic, individual and corporate donors, structuring and delivering win-win joint projects, improving our communications, strengthening impact and financial accountability metrics and building long-term capacity for future fundraising.

As a member of ADMI’s faculty, you provide valuable mentoring for tomorrow’s leading digital professionals and creative entrepreneurs. Responsibilities include preparing top-quality classroom and online content, facilitating engaging classroom discussion and practical experiences, assessing student performance, forging industry and community partnerships for student engagement and participating in professional development and community outreach activities.
