
We are a recently established and fast growing Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO).
We are looking for a dynamic and self-driven individual to take up the role of a part-time Social Media and Communications Intern.
Duties
Social Media Image
* Create quality content for social media pages, blogs and forums.
* Post and monitor responses and conversations on blogs, forums, and social networks.
* Any other delegated responsibility.
Communications
*Respond to all client emails that seek your attention in liaison with Director.
*Create organisational (and other) documents as instructed.
*Any other delegated responsibility.
Qualities
*A quick learner.
*Ability and willingness to work under minimal or no supervision and deliver desired results.
*Fluency in English.
*Maintains excellent writing and language skills.
*Presence in social media as well as appreciation of its potential.
*In-depth knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape including Social Media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, Google+, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
*Great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues.
*Flexibility in thinking, approaching problems and managing tasks.
*Positive attitude, attention to detail and good multitasking and organisational ability.
*Be ready and willing to grow with the organisation.
Terms
The Internship is for a period of 3 months subject to renewal after appraisal.
The location of the internship Nairobi, Kenya.
The internship is unpaid and an opportunity to learn and acquire new skills and sharpen existing ones.
A qualification in Public Relations or Media studies is a plus but not a requirement.
