Description:

This role offers an opportunity that will involve assisting in providing full outsourced risk based internal audits to clients, which includes evaluating financial systems, processes and the efficiency of internal controls in line with International Internal Audit Standards or Government/Regulatory Internal Audit Standards.
PKFCL is looking for a competent candidate to assist a team of internal auditors. The Assistant Internal Auditor will be entrusted with the following activities:

Responsibilities

• Understanding the client business processes and risks
• Assistance in creating client risk profiles
• Creating working papers and liaising with the team leader to carry out the internal audit as per the international
standards on internal audit
• Evaluating the effectiveness of the controls in place
• Appropriately assess potential findings and identify solutions to issues around internal controls
• Assistance in reporting to the internal audit committee and regulators on the effectiveness of the internal controls
within the client’s environment.

Successful applicants will ideally meet the following criteria:

a) A Graduate in the field of accounting and finance, computer science or any other related field
b) Pursue or be willing to pursue a professional qualification such as CISA, CRISC, CIA, CPA or ACCA
c) Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and oral
d) Willingness to travel within East Africa
e) Knowledge on Governance, Risk and Compliance frameworks
