OUR GRADUATE TRAINEE PROGRAMME
Mabati Rolling Mills Limited is the perfect choice of place to begin your career. We have a Graduate Trainee Programme designed to give you a ‘real job’ experience and nurture your career progression. If you are a recent graduate, looking for a rewarding and exciting career, MRM is the place for you.
A number of graduates are selected each year to participate in a 15-month practical application programme. It is structured to ensure maximum knowledge transfer and experience to the graduate in his/her discipline and some exposure to related disciplines.
Graduates will be assigned to the department relevant to his/her discipline and complete a rotation through all other departments to increase understanding of MRM operations and be given a personal development plan that includes relevant workplace practical’s and presentations. The graduates receive regular feedback and are expected to undergo several assessments based on quarterly presentations, written assignments and practical competency tests.

INDUSTRIAL ATTACHMENT PROGRAMME
Industrial Attachments run quarterly but concurrent with university semester breaks. We select students quarterly to participate in a 3-month programme that is structured to provide practical exposure relevant to the student’s field of study. While on industrial attachment students assigned to the relevant department are assigned to a Line Manager and allocated various workplace tasks. Students receive regular feedback, undergo assessments, make presentations/practical sessions and provide a write up of study experience to the management.
TALENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
We recognize employees who have the managerial potential and skills, and who want to move their career forward rapidly to take up senior roles in the company and in our other Group operations and we provide them with appropriate training and support through our Talent Development Programme.
