Internship Opportunities At The National Youth Council (NYC)

The National Youth Council (NYC) is a state corporation domiciled in the Ministry of Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs which came into being after the enactment of National Youth Policy (NYP) (2007) and the National Youth Council (NYC) Act (2009).

The National Youth Council is mandated to be “A policy, research and advocacy unit” on youth affairs in Kenya with the mission to enhance youth capacity and active participation in sociopolitical and economic prosperity through strategic consultations, engagement and partnerships.

The objective of the NYC youth Internship is to provide the youth with an opportunity to gain practical experience in their respective fields.

The Council wishes to call for suitably qualified youth from Universities and colleges to apply for internship opportunities as per the following categories

Basic Requirements

  1. Application letter;
  2. Must have completed and graduated with a Bachelors/ Diploma from a recognized university or College;
  3. Recommendation letter from the institution;
  4. Copies of academic transcripts;
  5. Copy of National Identification card;
  6. Medical Insurance cover by the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) or other reputable medical scheme firm

Note that the interns should be unemployed graduates who have not been exposed to work experience related to their area of study.
