Programme Assistant – Minilab – Medicine Safety

The Ecumenical Pharmaceutical Network is looking for a Programme Assistant in charge of implementation and monitoring of a GPHF Minilab project to identify substandard and falsified medicines together with Minilab Network Partners in Francophone and Anglophone Countries.

Job Description
  1. Develop and conduct baseline studies in the minilab member countries
  2. Define what data can be collected to demonstrate results
  3. Develop a tool for data collection and analysis of sub-standard and counterfeit medicines
  4. Develop methodology for receiving and reviewing the reports from the minilab members
  5. Monitoring & Evaluation for the minilab activities
  6. Undertake individual follow up on the actions with each minilab member on a monthly basis.
  7. Facilitate the development and distribution of relevant documents/materials on issues affecting the minilab project
  8. Prepare regular reports under this activity in keeping with donor commitments
  9. Support Communication officer with the necessary materials for bimonthly publication on the progress of the minilab project.
  10. Assist in preparation of an international publication
  11. Assist in the organisation of the annual Minilab workshop
  12. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
  13. Assist in M&E of the project.
JOB SPECIFICATION (Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required)
  1. Diploma in Pharmacy or Pharmacy Technology II. Min 5 years’ relevant experience
  2. Strong experience in technical writing, ideally with experience in a health-related field.
  3. Strong communication and organizational skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  4. Strong writing skills
  5. Demonstrated intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite application, database management. Familiarity with Microsoft Project a plus.
  6. Proficiency in French is mandatory
  7. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and work independently.
  8. Willingness to travel, as required
