Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT) is the training division of the State Department for Roads in the Ministry of Roads and Transport.
The Institute, through the East Africa Skills for Transformation and Regional Integration Project
(EASTRIP), aims to reduce the gender disparity among students in the long-term project-specific courses (Diploma in Highway Engineering and Craft Certificate in Road Construction).
This is to be achieved through boosting enrolment of female students into the above-mentioned programmes offered at the institution.
