CAK Hiring Young Professional Program

The Competition Authority of Kenya (CAK) invites applications for its one-year Young Professional Program (YPP), aimed at nurturing interest and capacity in Competition Policy and Law Enforcement. This program provides an invaluable opportunity for young professionals to gain practical experience in this field while contributing to CAK’s mandate.

Program Overview:
This one-year program exposes participants to real-world applications of competition law and policy, supporting their professional growth and encouraging deep engagement in this field. Upon completion, participants will present a paper on Competition Policy and Law and receive a certification. Exceptional candidates may have the opportunity to join CAK’s permanent workforce, subject to available vacancies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Law, Economics, or a Business-related discipline from a recognized university.
  • Age: Must be below 35 years of age.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Duration: 1-year training contract with a monthly stipend.
  • Certification: Program completion requires submission of a research paper on Competition Policy and Law.
  • Possible Employment: Outstanding candidates may be considered for permanent positions based on availability.

Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution:
Shortlisted candidates must provide clearance certificates from the following agencies:

  • Kenya Revenue Authority
  • Higher Education Loans Board
  • Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
  • Directorate of Criminal Investigations
  • Credit Reference Bureau
