The Public Service Commission (PSC) is inviting applications from qualified individuals to fill the positions of Vice-Chairperson (1 position) and Members (7 positions) of the PSC.
The vacancies arise from the need to nominate individuals to serve in these roles, starting from January 9, 2025. The application process is governed by Article 233 of the Constitution of Kenya, as well as the Public Service Commission Act (Chapter 185, Laws of Kenya).

The term for both the Vice-Chairperson and Members of the PSC is set as a single, non-renewable six-year period. The appointees will serve on a full-time basis and are not permitted to hold any other office or employment, whether in the public or private sector, for profit during their tenure.

The application procedure is straightforward, requiring applicants to provide comprehensive documentation, including:

- Responsibility for Timely Delivery: It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure their application reaches the Selection Panel by the deadline.
- Canvassing: Engaging in any form of canvassing will result in automatic disqualification.
Encouragement for Inclusivity
The PSC encourages applications from all eligible individuals, including persons with disabilities, women, minorities, and marginalized groups. This commitment to inclusivity aligns with Kenya’s broader goals of ensuring representation and equity in public service roles.
Application Deadline
All applications must reach the Chairperson of the Selection Panel by 5:00 PM (East African Time) on November 1, 2024. Late submissions will not be considered, making it essential for applicants to adhere strictly to the deadline.
