1. County Secretary’s Office

Chief Officer, Governor’s Office – Job Group ‘S’ (1 Post)

This role is pivotal in supporting the Governor’s strategic agenda by managing administrative operations and facilitating executive coordination across departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the implementation of policies and programs under the Governor’s office.
  • Advising the Governor on policy, governance, and administrative matters.
  • Coordinating inter-departmental planning and communication.
  • Representing the Governor in strategic meetings and follow-ups.
  • Supervising delivery units and monitoring key county programs.
  • Preparing executive briefs, speeches, and policy submissions.

This position is suitable for a seasoned public servant or administrator with strong leadership and coordination skills.


Chief Officer, Finance and Accounting – Job Group ‘S’ (1 Post)

The Chief Officer will be the principal head responsible for the strategic oversight of the County’s financial and accounting operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Planning and managing the county’s financial resources.
  • Coordinating budgeting processes, including Medium-Term Expenditure Frameworks (MTEF).
  • Overseeing revenue collection and expenditure control mechanisms.
  • Preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.
  • Leading procurement planning, cash flow forecasting, and risk management.
  • Supporting audits and promoting financial transparency within county operations.

This position is suited for candidates with significant experience in public finance, budget execution, and accounting frameworks.


2. Department of Finance, Economic Planning and ICT

Audit Committee Members (2 Posts)

Audit Committee Members provide independent oversight to ensure transparency, compliance, and effective internal control mechanisms in the county’s financial and operational systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing internal and external audit reports and ensuring implementation of recommendations.
  • Monitoring compliance with financial and procurement regulations.
  • Advising on risk management policies and internal control systems.
  • Evaluating performance of internal audit functions.
  • Promoting accountability, integrity, and ethical practices in public service.

Revenue Clerks – Job Group ‘D’ (20 Posts)

Revenue Clerks will be deployed across various revenue collection points to support the county’s revenue mobilization efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collecting levies, fees, and other revenue streams in assigned areas.
  • Issuing receipts for all collections and maintaining accurate records.
  • Remitting collected funds to designated accounts in compliance with county procedures.
  • Reporting anomalies in the collection process and recommending improvements.
  • Assisting in the preparation of daily revenue summaries.
  • Interacting with the public to clarify revenue requirements and encourage compliance.

3. Department of Gender, Youth, Sports and Social Services

Director, Youth Affairs and Sports – Job Group ‘R’ (1 Post)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Designing and overseeing implementation of youth and sports programs.
  • Managing sports infrastructure and organizing county sports events.
  • Developing youth empowerment strategies including mentorship and training.

  • Preparing progress reports on youth engagement and sports development.
  • Mobilizing resources to support youth programs.

Social Welfare Officer II – Job Group ‘J’ (2 Posts)

These officers will provide field-level support in managing social welfare interventions targeting vulnerable populations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and assessing the needs of disadvantaged individuals and groups.
  • Coordinating relief, rehabilitation, and empowerment programs.
  • Facilitating access to medical, educational, and shelter support services.
  • Maintaining client records and preparing welfare reports.
  • Collaborating with community groups and stakeholders in program implementation.
  • Conducting awareness campaigns on social welfare issues.

This role is ideal for compassionate and community-focused professionals with practical experience in welfare service delivery.


Social Welfare Officer III – Job Group ‘H’ (2 Posts)

The officers will support community outreach, identify individuals in need, and connect them with appropriate support services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participating in household surveys and community assessments.
  • Supporting implementation of outreach programs for the disabled, elderly, orphans, and other vulnerable groups.
  • Providing basic psycho-social support and counseling.
  • Referring cases to higher authorities and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Preparing and submitting welfare activity reports.

This role is suited for junior social workers or graduates seeking to work directly with communities to effect social change.


Firemen – Job Group ‘F’ (3 Posts)

Firemen will form part of the County’s emergency response team, tasked with fire suppression, rescue operations, and disaster mitigation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responding to fire alarms and emergency calls across the county.
  • Performing firefighting operations, rescue missions, and first aid administration.
  • Ensuring readiness of firefighting equipment, tools, and protective gear.
  • Conducting fire drills, community sensitization, and safety audits.
  • Maintaining fire stations and preparing incident reports.

Applicants must be physically fit, willing to work under pressure, and available to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
