The Supervisor, Security Operations Tools (SOT) reports to the Assistant Manager, Security Operations Tools.
Job Summary
The jobholder shall be responsible for the design, implementation and day-to-day Support and maintenance of infrastructure and endpoint Security solutions in the Authority.
Duties and responsibilities
- Prepare prototype designs and technical specifications for Information Security Tools and Infrastructure.
- Prepare preliminary technical specifications for Information Security Tools and Infrastructure.
- Support and maintain ICT Security Operations Solutions and controls on a day-to-day basis.
- Day to day implementation of unit’s projects to ensure they meet the scope, time, budget and quality constraints.
- Work with contractors on a day-to-day basis to implement, support and maintain Security Operations Tools and Infrastructure.
- Resolve Level 2 user requests and incidents.
- Configure ICT Security Operations Solutions and controls
Person specifications
For appointment to this job, the candidate must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Mathematics/Electrical /Electronics/Telecommunications or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience.
Any one of the following professional certifications:
- CEH, CISSP, ECIH, CFHI, CISM, CISA, MCSE, CCNA
- Certification in relevant security tool
- Membership to a professional body with a valid practicing certificate/license
Demonstrate Technical proficiency in the following knowledge areas:-
- Security tools such as python, firewalls, IPS, SIEM, SOAR, SQL, RDMS, LINUX
- Knowledge of relevant legislation
- Analytical skills
