27 Vacancies Open In Narok County Government

The Narok County Public Service Board is inviting applications from qualified and competent individuals to fill the following positions within the county government.

These roles are in line with the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and the County Government Act No. 17 of 2012, Section 59 (B).

VACANT POSITIONS

1. Senior Superintending Engineer (Civil) – Job Grade CPSB 06 (2 Posts)

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Salary Scale: Ksh 58,360 – 90,200 per month

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical drawings as per work requests.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and maintenance standards in work areas.
  • Manage servicing and maintenance of equipment and tools.
  • Verify the accuracy of materials and equipment.
  • Plan and conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on civil structures.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain as-built civil drawings and manuals.
  • Monitor system performance and propose modifications where necessary.
  • Prepare technical specifications and estimates for tendering.

2. Architect – Job Grade CPSB 08 (2 Posts)

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Salary Scale: Ksh 44,400 – 61,110 per month

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sketch and scheme designs along with production drawings.
  • Interpret clients’ requirements.
  • Disseminate research findings on innovative processes and materials.
  • Ensure proper post-contract administration.

3. Superintendent (Buildings) – Job Grade CPSB 09 (6 Posts)

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Salary Scale: Ksh 39,700 – 52,960 per month

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as Clerk of Works for buildings under construction or as a maintenance supervisor.
  • Read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Plan building programs and ensure work progress is as per specifications.
  • Supervise artisans carrying out building repairs and alterations.
  • Prepare cost estimates and material schedules.

4. Principal Physical Planner – Job Grade CPSB 06 (2 Posts)

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Salary Scale: Ksh 58,360 – 90,200 per month

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement county and local physical development plans.
  • Prepare action plans for specific projects.
  • Provide planning advice to the county government.
  • Conduct studies on urban and regional planning issues.
  • Maintain physical planning data.
  • Oversee planning liaison committee meetings and decisions.

5. Physical Planner – Job Grade CPSB 09 (2 Posts)

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Salary Scale: Ksh 39,700 – 52,960 per month

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare physical development plans.
  • Conduct feasibility studies on physical, social, economic, and environmental aspects.
  • Implement plans for urban areas and cities.
  • Process development applications and maintain planning records.

6. GIS Expert/Cartographer – Job Grade CPSB 09 (2 Posts)

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Salary Scale: Ksh 39,700 – 52,960 per month

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Draft survey and cadastral plans.
  • Enter approved geographical names into a geospatial database.
  • Prepare topographical base maps.
  • Revise base maps using aerial imagery.

7. Valuer – Job Grade CPSB 09 (1 Post)

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Salary Scale: Ksh 39,700 – 52,960 per month

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect data for the National Land Value Index.
  • Analyze market data for valuation purposes.
  • Conduct Stamp Duty valuation.
  • Search land titles for valuation purposes.
  • Measure buildings for valuation purposes.

8. Environment Management Officer I – Job Grade CPSB 09 (2 Posts)

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Salary Scale: Ksh 39,700 – 52,960 per month

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement environmental management plans.
  • Conduct environmental audits and follow up on recommendations.
  • Monitor waste generation and disposal.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental legislation.

9. Human Resource Management Officer I – Job Grade CPSB 09 (2 Posts)

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Salary Scale: Ksh 39,700 – 52,960 per month

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process documents on recruitment, payroll, pensions, and placement.
  • Maintain human resource databases.
  • Compile data for human resource planning.
  • Draft human resource periodic reports.

10. Supply Chain Management Officer – Job Grade CPSB 09 (2 Posts)

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Salary Scale: Ksh 39,700 – 52,960 per month

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and issue stores.
  • Prepare procurement documents.
  • Manage supplier databases.
  • Implement security and safety procedures in stores.

11. Senior Accountant – Job Grade CPSB 08 (2 Posts)

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Salary Scale: Ksh 44,400 – 61,110 per month

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verify payment vouchers and maintain financial records.
  • Process payments, reimbursements, and disbursements.
  • Prepare annual financial statements and budget reports.
  • Conduct revenue collection monitoring.

12. Social Welfare Officer I – Job Grade CPSB 09 (2 Posts)

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Salary Scale: Ksh 39,700 – 52,960 per month

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and mobilize local resources for community projects.
  • Guide communities in developing action plans.
  • Coordinate with local development agencies.
  • Register community-based organizations.
