Job Purpose
The IT & Data Analyst will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing NCCK’s IT systems and data infrastructure. The role ensures smooth operations of all ICT functions, provides essential user support, and delivers valuable data-driven insights to support organizational decision-making.
This position is central to NCCK’s goal of integrating technology into its ministry and development programs, ensuring that staff across all levels have access to efficient systems, secure platforms, and meaningful data to guide strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
The IT & Data Analyst will undertake a wide range of duties that combine both system support and data management. These include:
1. IT Infrastructure and System Maintenance
- Oversee and enhance the performance of NCCK’s IT infrastructure to guarantee reliability and efficiency.
- Carry out regular system updates, patch installations, and scheduled backups to protect against data loss and maintain operational continuity.
- Monitor system functionality and troubleshoot issues proactively to prevent disruptions in day-to-day activities.
2. Technical Support to Users
- Deliver timely and effective technical support to end-users across the organization.
- Resolve hardware and software challenges, ensuring minimal downtime for staff and programs.
- Provide clear, practical solutions that improve user experience and confidence in IT systems.
3. Data Management and Analysis
- Gather, refine, and analyze data from multiple sources to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Design, maintain, and regularly update dashboards, reports, and visual tools that communicate key organizational insights.
- Translate complex datasets into actionable findings for management and program teams.
4. Software Implementation and Training
- Support the rollout of new software systems, including ERP and specialized program applications.
- Provide training sessions and hands-on support to ensure smooth adoption and effective use of new technologies.
- Develop training materials and conduct knowledge-sharing workshops for staff.
5. Continuous System Improvement
- Identify opportunities for improving usability, functionality, and efficiency of IT systems.
- Recommend upgrades or enhancements that align with NCCK’s organizational needs.
- Collaborate with other departments to design technology-based solutions that enhance workflow.
6. IT Security and Data Protection
- Monitor IT systems to ensure data integrity and safeguard against unauthorized access or cyber threats.
- Implement organizational IT security measures, ensuring compliance with both local regulations and NCCK’s internal policies.
- Stay up to date with global best practices in data protection and integrate them into NCCK’s systems.
7. Documentation and Best Practices
- Develop and maintain user-friendly documentation, manuals, and procedural guides for IT processes.
- Create clear reference materials to empower staff to resolve minor IT issues independently.
- Standardize IT support procedures to streamline service delivery.
Key Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Work Experience: At least 3 years of proven experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related role.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of IT and data tools including Excel, SQL, Power BI, and enterprise systems.
- ERP Expertise: Hands-on experience with platforms such as Microsoft 365 Dynamics.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to collect, interpret, and present data in meaningful ways that drive informed decision-making.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated success in diagnosing and resolving complex IT issues.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues across different levels of the organization.
