Title: Teacher – Marketable Crafts, Fabric and Fashion Design

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Reports to: Seed of Hope Project Administrator

Seed of Hope is seeking to employ a Teacher with the following qualifications and experience:

* Relevant Degree or Diploma in Textile or Fashion Design from a recognised institution

* Practical experience in some or all of the following: beadwork, basketry, leatherwork, fabric design, knitting, crocheting etc

* 3 years teaching experience

* Self-motivated individual who has integrity and a genuine passion to assist those less fortunate than themselves

* Entrepreneurial individual who can develop other opportunities alongside the teaching of students

* Able to work with minimum supervision

* The ability to analayse, define or understand a problem and develop a solution

The role of the teacher will primarily be to train disadvantaged teenagers in vocational skills that will equip them for future employment or self-employment, whilst also participating in the wider activities of the institution.
