1. Medical Laboratory Technologist (5 Posts)

Number of Vacancy: Five (5)
Terms of Service: Contract: Three (3) Months (Renewable)
Salary: Ksh.30,000 (Consolidated

An officer at this level will work under the supervision and guidance of a senior and experienced
officer.

Medical Laboratory Technologist Job Responsibilities

  • Decontaminating working benches;
  • Receiving and scrutinizing laboratory requisition forms and specimens;
  • Preparing clients for collection of specimens; receiving, collecting, labelling and registering of specimens;
  • Disaggregating specimens for processing and analyses;
  • Preparing reagents;
  • Examining specimens;
  • Writing and recording of results: dispatching the results for use in clinical management;
  • Preparing stains;
  • Performing blood grouping;
  • Issuing blood products to peripheral health facilities and storing blood products according to their requirements.

Requirements for the Medical Laboratory Technologist Job

  • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or any other equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board;
  • Registration Certificate issued by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB); and,
  • Valid practicing license from Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board
  • Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution

2. Nurse Job Laikipia County 30K (45 Posts)

Number of Vacancy: Forty Five (45)
Terms of Service: Contract: Three (3) Months (Renewable)
Salary: Ksh.30,000 (Consolidated)

Community Health Nurse Job Responsibilities

  • Assessing, planning, implementing nursing interventions and evaluating patients’ outcomes;
  • Providing appropriate healthcare services including Integrated Management of Childhood Illness(IMCI), immunization, PMTCT, ante-natal care and delivery, providing health education and counselling to patients/clients and community on identified health needs;
  • Referring patients and clients appropriately;
  • Facilitating patients’admission and initiating discharge plans;
  • Maintaining records on patients/clients health condition and care;
  • Ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment;
  • Collecting and compiling data.

Requirements for the Community Health Nurse Job

  • Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered Midwifery, Kenya Registered Nursing/Midwifery, or Kenya Registered Nursing/Mental Health and Psychiatry from Kenya Medical Training College or any other recognized institution;
  • Registration certificate issued by Nursing Council of Kenya;
  • Valid practising licence from Nursing Council of Kenya; and,
  • Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution

3. Clinical Job Laikipia County 30K (10 Posts)

Number of Vacancies: Ten (10)
Terms Of Service: Contract: Three (3) Months (Renewable)
Salary: Ksh.30,000 (Consolidated)

Clinical Officer Job Responsibilities

  • Seeing and examining patients,
  • Diagnosing and treating patients’ ailments at an outpatients department in a hospital or health centre.
  • In addition, the officer will be expected to assist in planning and conducting primary Health Care activities,
  • Teaching students attached to hospital and health centres;
  • Supervising and counselling a small number of staff engaged on routine patients’ care and giving support and health education.

Requirement for the Clinical Officer Job

  • A diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or Clinical Medicine and Community Health from a recognized institution;
  • Certificate of registration from Clinical Officer’s Council ; and,
  • Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution
