KENYA COPYRIGHT BOARD INTERNSHIP/ PUPILAGE/ INDUSTRIAL ATTACHMENT PROGRAMME – F/Y 2018/2019

The Kenya Copyright Board is a state corporation under the Office of the Attorney General and Department of Justice, mandated with the administration and enforcement of copyright and related rights. The Board is responsible for organizing legislation on copyright and related rights; conducting training programmes on copyright and related rights; carrying out education and awareness activities to enlighten and inform the public on matters related to copyright; licensing and supervising the activities of Collective Management Organizations (CMOS) and maintain an effective databank on authors and their creative works. The Board is also entrusted with matters related to traditional knowledge, genetic resources and traditional cultural expressions.

Objective

The objective of this programme is to provide university and college graduates with an opportunity for on-the-job experience and develop their ability to successfully take up employment opportunities in the highlighted fields.

During the F/Y 2018/2019, the Board endeavors to engage degree and diploma graduates on three (3) months internship and six (6) months pupilage programme for knowledge and skill transfer, spread throughout the year starting from 1st October 2018 to 30th June 2019. Successful candidates will be contacted and placed on three months internship and six months pupilage respectively. Pupilage programme runs from January to June annually.
