SEALNet Project Vietnam 2019, a part of Southeast Asian Service Leadership Network (SEALNet), holds SEALNet Official Project in #Hanoi Vietnam from 8 – 21, July, 2019.
Project Vietnam 2019 is looking for Mentors who will be working together and with locals in Bãi Giữa, a poverty-stricken community residing on the banks of the Red River, to alleviate imminent social and environmental issues – predominant of which is plastic pollution.
WORTH
All on-site expenses from 8-21 July will be covered.
This includes:
- Full board and lodging
- Transport from project’s designated to community service sites
- Travel insurance
- Other expenses that relate to the project.
ELIGIBILITY
- Be at least 18 years of international age (at the time of the project).
- Be committed and enthusiastic about the goals of the project.
- Having expertise in plastic pollution and environmental issues is NOT a must, but will add strong points to the application.
- Be an outstanding youth leader with a strong co-curricular involvement as well as the ability to solve social and environmental problems. (Those without prior experience are also welcome to join the team.)
- Be able to stay in a designated venue in Hanoi, Vietnam from 8 – 21 July, 2019, even if you have your own accommodation in Hanoi.
- Can dedicate 5-6 hours/week into the planning process from now until the project date and proactively participate during the project. Be willing to play a strong part in the sustainability planning of the project.
- Be able to operate in English, the primary working language of the project.
- Be able to fundraise 300 USD toward the cause of the project.
- Be willing to form a close relationship with a mentee (SEA high school student) through the mentorship program; be open-minded and willing to communicate with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
- A love for working with children.
