Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) is offering fully funded PhD scholarships for international students at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore.
The award is a partnership between the Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR), the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
The PhD training is disseminated in English at your chosen lab at A*STAR Research Institutes, National University of Singapore or Nanyang Technological University.
Scholars are supervised by world-renowned researchers in the fields of study offered under this scholarship. Therefore, scholarships will acquired relevant industry specific knowledge.
ELIGIBLE PROGRAMS:
The SINGA scholarship will fund the following PhD research areas;
- Biomedical Sciences
- Physical Science and Engineering
ELIGIBILITY AND SELECTION CRITERIA:
Candidates for these scholarships must meet the following eligibility and selection criteria;
- Be an international student
- Passionate to carry out research
- Have excellent academic results
- English language skills (both written and spoken English skills)
- Good reports/references from your academic referees
SCHOLARSHIP OFFERS:
The scholarship will provide the following items for up to 4 years of the scholarship;
- Full tuition fees
- Monthly living stipend (S$2,000). However, the amount will be increased to S$2,500 after you pass the qualifying examination
- Travel cost of up to S$1,500
- Settling-in allowance of about S$1,000
