Clerical Officers Needed – The Office of the Registrar of Political Parties

The Office of the Registrar of Political Parties is established by the Political Parties Act, 2011 as an independent State
Office within the meaning of Article 260 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.

The mandate of the Office is to register, regulate, supervise Political Parties and administer the Political Parties Fund.
The Office invites applications from suitably qualified applicants to fill the following vacant positions in its
establishment.

This is the entry and training grade for the Clerical Cadre. Work at this level will be carried out under close supervision and guidance of a more senior officer.

An officer at this level will perform general office services and administrative support and may be deployed to field offices.

CLERICAL OFFICER


(a) Duties and Responsibilities


(i) Sorting, filing and dispatching letters;
(ii) Maintaining an efficient filing system;
(iii) Compiling statistical records;
(iv) Processing appointments, promotions, discipline, transfers and other related duties in Human
resource management;
(v) Preparing payment vouchers;
(xxi) Compiling data and drafting simple letters and
(xxii) Any other lawful duties as may be assigned from time to time.


(ii) Requirements for Appointment


For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

(i) Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade C- or its equivalent from a recognized
institution; and
(ii) Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution.
