POSITION:                  UNIT MANAGERS ( KISUMU & NAIROBI) 

Main Role

The Unit Manager will be responsible for recruiting life insurance agents, training, managing and achieving results through individual sales in line with the organization objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities 

• Accountable for delivery of business plan targets including revenue, persistency, productivity and business mix acquisition of       new clients for retail and corporate.

• Recruitment and training of life insurance sales agents.

• Formulate and implement innovative sales techniques to increase the unit sales volume.

• Conduct monthly performance management/review of sales agents.

• Assist the unit members to recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer experience and sales potential.

• Implement and supervise the unit sales incentive programs.

Minimum Academic Qualifications & Experience

• A Business related Diploma or its equivalent. A Bachelors degree in a business-related course will be an added advantage.

• Must have Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in the absence of a Diploma in Insurance.

• Proven good performance record of 3 years from a financial institution or insurance sector.

• Good knowledge of life insurance. 

• Good planning and organization skills with the ability to deliver effectively under strict deadlines. Excellent communication,        presentation and customer service skills. 

• Ability to work and develop long term relationships. Responsible, reliable and business acumen to spot opportunities readily. 

• Proficient in Microsoft office suite.

POSITION:   ASSISTANT RISK & COMPLIANCE OFFICER

LOCATION:   NAIROBI

Main Role

Reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance, the Assistant Officer – Risk & Compliance  will Assist in the development and execution of the Risk Management Framework in line with the Organization’s  Enterprise Risk Management Strategy and facilitate its cascading down to all Departments.

Duties & Responsibilities 

• Ensure each Department, in liaison with the risk champions, has appropriately identified, analyzed evaluated, and managed risks and documented them in their Risk Registers.

• Assist in the consolidation of the Departmental Risk Registers’ key risks into the Corporate Risk Register and assess the overall impact and ensure regular updating in line with changes in risk ratings.

• Assist in the preparation of reports giving risk & compliance status to Management.

• Perform simplified due diligence, standard due diligence, and enhanced due diligence on new and existing clients, obtaining requisite KYC information and documentation, and ensuring proper record keeping of the same.

• Assist in the development and implementation of an Anti-Money Laundering and Combating Financing of Terrorism framework in line with the POCAMLA Act and the FATF guidelines.

• Assist in the development and implementation of Organization Data Protection Framework. Report on and provide notifications and updates of any data breaches

• Give advice and recommendations to the Organization about the interpretation or application of the Data Protection Policy to ensure 100% compliance.

Minimum Academic Qualifications & Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in a business related course or its equivalent from a reputable institution.

• Progress in Risk Management Certification is an added advantage.

• Two (2) years’ experience in Risk Management is an added advantage.

• Proficient in Microsoft office suite.

• Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data

• Results Driven and conscious on keeping deadlines.

• Ability to work under pressure.

POSITION:                  PREMIUM ADMINISTRATOR 

LOCATION:                NAIROBI

Main Role

Reporting to the Head of Underwriting, the Premium Administrator will be responsible for managing our Individual Life Premium Collection initiatives and managing relationships with third parties such as Banks.

Duties & Responsibilities 

• Launching of Salary Deduction Authorities within the required turnaround time.

• Launching of Direct Debit Authorities with Banks within the required turnaround time.

• Collection payments and Bi-Products from Payroll Offices.

• Allocation of premiums within the required turnaround time.

• Handling of Premium queries from Agents and or customers and customer care personnel

• Issuing stop orders for all non – active policies whose premiums are not expected.

• Updating databases for premium collections.

• Audit and update of policies where this is required by other Departments.

• Follow up and correct any miss posting if any done previously.

• Hold regular meeting with Payroll officers at various check-off pay points.

Minimum Academic Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors Degree with a bias in Insurance, Finance, Accounts or its equivalent from a reputable Institution.

• Progress in Dip in Insurance, ACII, CPA, Certified Credit Professionals Course (KASNEB), Certified Financial Analyst (KASNEB).

• Two (2) years’ experience in account reconciliation in Insurance is an added advantage

• Proficient in Microsoft office suite.

• Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data.

• Results Driven and conscious on keeping deadlines.

• Ability to work under pressure.
