KCB Foundation is offering scholarships for vocational training for May 2023 intake. The scholarships will be offered at partner technical training institutions in the counties listed below:
This recruitment will take place in the counties of Baringo, Garissa, Homabay, Kericho, Kiambu, Marsabit, Nairobi, Samburu and Tana River targeting 500 upskillers for the May 2023 intake under the categories of Apprentices & Business owners for a 3-month course in the respective institutions.
The programme focusses on the following sectors:
- Agribusiness
- Automotive Engineering
- Beauty and Personal Care
- Building and Construction
- Domestic Services
Scholarship Selection Criteria
Eligibility:To qualify for the skills and enterprise development project scholarships, all applicants must fulfill the criteria below:
- Have a National Identity Card
- Be able to read and write in Kiswahili and/or English
- Commit to attend all training sessions in participating technical training institutions/vocational training centers in their county of residence.
- Be within one of the two categories (Business Owner, Apprentice)
- Contribution of KES. 2000/= towards the school fees. This is payable to the training institution upon receiving official communication from KCB Foundation on award of the scholarship.
Instructions
- Fill out the application form as clearly and as completely as possible.
- Only complete applications will be considered and admission into the programme is based on a competitive selection process.
- Once Completed, Download the form and present it during the interview.(After Submitting your responses download and/or print the form by selecting the “print or get PDF of answers” tab)
- During the interview, candidates will be expected to come with completed application forms with passport size photo attached together with copies of National Identity card and certificate of their highest academic qualification.
- The candidates will also be expected to present originals of the above documents. Failure to produce these documents will lead to automatic disqualification.
