The Embassy of Brazil in Nairobi is pleased to announce the commencement of a selection process to hire a support assistant for the Official Residence of Brazil in Nairobi.
This assistant will primarily fulfill the role of a cook. The employment contract will be fully governed by Kenyan labor legislation, with no affiliation to the Brazilian Public Administration.
The selected candidate will receive a gross monthly salary of KES 142,857.00 (one hundred and forty-two thousand, eight hundred and fifty-seven Kenyan shillings).
This salary includes the basic salary, housing allowance, and food allowance. However, please note that the salary is subject to mandatory social security and tax deductions as per Kenyan law. The maximum workload for this position is 45 hours per week.
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
a) Applicants must be over 18 years old at the time of enrollment.
b) Candidates must declare that they do not currently hold a public position, job, or function in Brazil, nor receive a pension in Brazil. Furthermore, the employment being applied for should not be considered a public job or function under Brazilian law.
c) Proof of Kenyan citizenship is required for Kenyan applicants. Brazilian candidates or nationals of other countries must possess a permanent residence visa in Kenya that permits paid labor.
d) Candidates must provide proof of having completed primary education or a professional formation course as a chef/cook.
e) Brazilian applicants must demonstrate compliance with their electoral obligations in Brazil.
f) Male Brazilian applicants between the ages of 18 and 45 must provide proof of having completed their Military Service obligations in Brazil.
g) Proficiency in the English language is a mandatory requirement. Knowledge of the Portuguese language, while not mandatory, would be highly valued.
