1. Machinist

Description of Job Task and Responsibilities.
  •  Building and maintaining machine tools and industrial machines. 
  • The job holder should be cable of line boring and horizontal vertical face milling.
  • Confident to use ‘’Climax’’ portable milling machine
  • Knowledge of machine tools specific to each task and ability to ascertain correct speeds and feeds dependent on material and cut depths 
  • Aware of cutting pressure, chatter avoidance when cutting and general good working practices 
  • Ability to read technical drawing and work to tight tolerances. Both imperial and metric.
  • Converting where/if required 
  • Clocking in using mag bases and dial indicators as required.
Job Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Diploma, technical or vocational course   preferably mechanical Engineering/Machinist artisant certificate
  • Experience in Reading blueprints and
  • Performing precision measurement.
  • Set up and operate manual mills, lathes, and grinders etc
  • Must speak, read, and understand English language, both oral and in writing

2. Mechanics 

Description of Job Task and Responsibilities.
  •  Installing pumps,aligning motors and connnecting pipes 
  • Installing coolers and aligning pipe connections 
  • Installing valves for overboard pipes,cooling water,ballast lines,and oil lines 
  • Installing mooring winches.

       Job Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)

  • Diploma in mechanical engineering /Craft Certificate in mechanical engineering or Mechanics  trade certificate.
  • Must speak, read, and understand English language, both oral and in writing

3. Pipe Welders /Structural Welders Class 1

Description of Job Task and Responsibilities.
  • Performs removal, repairs, overhauls, installations, mounting, alignment, and pressure testing of various types of piping, valves, fittings, check, and foot valves installed on ships, boats and barges.
  • Disassembles, repairs, grinds/laps valve discs, assembles, aligns, hydro-tests, and installs various types of ferrous and non-ferrous piping, foot valves, isolation valves, discharge and delivery valves installed on boats, barges and ships to include ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
  • Accomplishes dynamic and static pressure test of overhauled and new valves, fitting, piping using hydraulic pumps, Records and tags tested valves, piping and hoses for customer’s verification and work performance acceptance. Fabricates and installs valve seals and gaskets, corrects piping and valve system leak as noted during pressure and operational testing
  • Measures, fabricates, sews and installs leggings on exhaust bellows, piping, mufflers, and exhaust manifold. Installs overhead and bulkhead installations on boats, barges and ships.
Job Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Any mechanical specialized certification preferrably Welding and fabrication qualification with knowledge in pipe fitting /structural welding plater fitting 
  • Familiar with any type of marine /petroleum piping and valves systems
  • Must speak, read, and understand English language, both oral and in writing

TEST:

The test for this category is FCAW 3G,4G Plate plus gouging.

4. Plater-structural fitter Class II

Description of Job Task and Responsibilities.
  • Analyzes blueprints and structural drawings
  • Adheres to applicable welding methods in completion of structural fabrications
  • Utilizes manual and mechanical processes to fabricate, fit and erect various steel configurations
  • Cuts, repairs, and assembles building components to form complete structures
  • Conducts post-welding activities such as grinding, cleaning, and polishing of workpieces
  • Job Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)
  • Any mechanical specialized certification preferrably Welding and fabrication qualification with knowledge in pipe fitting /structural welding plater fitting
  • Knowledge of industrial structural fabrication, fitting methods, and welding techniques
  • Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and Safety Regulations and industrial oilfield practices related to equipment/tool use and operation
  • Knowledge and experience in oilfield operations, preferred
  • Skill in operating the following tools and machines: shop band saw; ironworker shear; drill press; plasma cutter, track torch
  • Ability to conduct appropriate tests to identify and correct faults in framework of structure
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly

TEST:

5. Pipe fitters

Description of Job Task and Responsibilities.
