Job Description
i) Systems development, implementation, and allocation.
ii) Co-coordinating systems development, implementation, and maintenance.
iii) Carrying out feasibility studies; preparing progress reports of the systems
development.
iv) Evaluating systems and ensuring adherence to established e-Government Standards.
v) Training and preparing staff performance reports; planning, monitoring, and evaluating program/activities within an Information Communication Technology division/Unit.

2. Chief Trade Development Officer – Internal Advert
Job Description
Compiling and analyzing economic and trade related data; disseminating business information; facilitating trade promotion activities; promoting entrepreneurial culture, growth and development of Trade; undertaking market intelligence for trade development; providing training, consultancy and extension services on trade issues; preparing background papers and briefs on trade issues; participating in trade fairs and exhibitions; providing information on government policies for trade promotion and development; conducting surveys and mapping of various business activities; Initial setting up of business information and solutions center’s; and mobilizing the business community to participate in trade fairs and exhibitions
In addition, duties and responsibilities at this level will involve: participating in initials drafting of position and concept papers; sensitizing the business community on sources of business financing available; responding to County assembly questions; intra and inter sectoral liaison on trade matters: facilitating settlement of trade disputes; and responding to public complaints and customer care issues.
3. Director Smart Nairobi – Internal Advert
Job Description
i) Formulate and review Sector Smart government strategy and policy and monitor its implementation.
ii) Advise the Chief Officer on Smart Government issues;
iii) Coordinate the development and implementation of Smart Government programmes
and plans in Sectors,
iv) Develop and manage strategic systems including shared services and infrastructure,
data, information security and electronic services of the County;
v) Develop and enforce strategic System security initiatives within County including
oversight of incident response;
vi) Develop and enforce system security standards to promote interoperability of systems and data and cost-effective use of ICT infrastructure and services;
vii) Manage the implementation of e-government programmes in the County.
viii) Monitor and evaluate the implementation and use of systems and recommend suitable enhancements.
ix) Undertake research and innovation on Smart Government services; and Oversee implementation of capacity building initiatives on Smart Government
4. Senior ICT Officer System Security/E-Government – Internal/External Advert
Job Description
i) Carrying out systems analysis, design and Programme specifications in liaison with users; developing, implementing and maintaining of systems;
ii) Ensuring adherence to established ICT standards; supervising and compiling overall systems documentation;
iii) Advising on ICT related issues; supervising installation certification, repairs and maintenance of Information Communication Technology equipment and associated peripherals;
iv) developing and maintaining ICT standards; recommending and supervising Hardware/Software specifications for Information Communication Technology equipment; logging of problems;
v) drawing and scheduling preventive maintenance; and assisting in feasibility studies as assigned. In addition, the officer will train officers working below him/her.
5. Assistant Director E-government – Internal Advert
Job Description
i) planning, monitoring and evaluating program activities;
ii) ensuring ICT goals and objectives are met; approving of e-Government standards for application;
iii) liaising with users to ensure that information processing needs are met; reviewing and evaluating feasibility studies and reports for implementation;
iv) management and coordination of the unit; Supervising ICT officers;
v) providing assistance in the development of e-Government strategic plans;
vi) ensuring that e-Government projects are completed within the planned time and budget; ensuring that procedures and standards are adhered to;
vii) liaising with head of Department in developing and implementing change management initiatives; ensuring that officers are adequately trained;
viii) drawing up the budget for the e-Government unit; and procurement of e-Government equipment’s and services.
6. Deputy Director Trade and Industry Development – Internal Advert
Job Description
An officer at this level will deputize the Director in the day to day operational and managerial activities and will be deployed in any of the following departments;-
Industrial Support Services, Micro and Small Industries, Medium and Large Industries or Industrial Information and Policy Development.
7. Deputy Director System Security – Internal Advert
Job Description
i) Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures to protect the organization’s information systems and data.
ii) Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate risks effectively.
iii) Lead and coordinate the organization’s response to security incidents, including investigation, resolution, and reporting. Develop and implement incident response plans.

Job Description
i. Collecting, compiling and analyzing economic and trade related data; disseminating business information, facilitating trade promotion activities, participating and organizing trade interactive forum, conducting business counselling sessions, conducting surveys of various business activities, promoting entrepreneurial venture creation, facilitating the growth and trade development and participating in management of business information and solution centers

iv) undertake intra and inter county liaison on trade matters for trade development; and prepare County Development plans relating to domestic trade in the county
10. Deputy Director E-government – Internal Advert
Job Description
i) Projects; adherence to standards and procedures for systems development projects;
ii) Providing guidelines and advise to e-Government project managers;
iii) Periodic review of projects systems and procedures and recommending improvements;
iv) Initiating policy review and updating of existing regulations on computing management including drawing of computer specifications for equipment’s and services;

Job Description
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail;- analyzing data and preparing industrial reports; undertaking industrial research on upgrading and commercializing of technologies and associated products; liaising with Kenya Industrial Property Institute ( KIPI) for protection of entrepreneurs inventions; conducting Business development Service (BDS) needs assessment; creating awareness on investment opportunities, intellectual property right, quality assurance and certification; and identification of markets for manufactured products.
