JOB TITLE:               IT Officer-SYSTEMS  

REPORTS TO:           SENIOR IT MANAGER

LOCATION: NAIROBI

Background 

The Center for International Health, Education and Biosecurity (CIHEB)-Kenya is a local non-governmental organization collaborating with the Ministry of Health and County Health Management Teams to strengthen health systems for improved quality of health care in Kenya.

Job Summary

The primary function of this position is to provide technical assistance to the service delivery team. Maintain and monitor the system to ensure controls and processes are compliant. Provide support to user queries and issues. Aid training and guidance requirements for users

Job description – Responsibilities:

  • Creating/Developing Dynamics NAV and Other Enterprise Applications
  • Integrating Enterprise Applications to Other Systems
  • Ensuring Enterprise Applications are bug free.
  • Supporting Enterprise Application Clients.
  • Research and Developing (RD) Enterprise Systems that are Future Oriented.
  • Formulating System Processes based on Client Requirements.
  • Advising Clients on the Best Practices in the Financial Industry
  • Managing Client’s Data with Efficiency and Professionalism.
  • Training Users on the functionality of Enterprises Application.
  • Constant Improvements of the Existing Applications to make them keep up with growing Client Needs.
  • Ensuring Enterprise Applications are Secure and Protected against Fraud.
  • Controlled Sharing of Enterprise Code and Protection of Company’s Intellectual Property.
  • Provide Expertise in both Technical and Financial Processes when needed.
  • Maintaining security systems, identifying vulnerabilities, responding to security incidents, and continuously updating their knowledge.
  • Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities, reporting violations. Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.

Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related field is typically required. Certifications in ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics), cybersecurity is an added advantage.

Experience: Previous experience in ERP system development, configuration, customization, and implementation is essential. Candidates should ideally have minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record of successful ERP projects.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming).

Strong understanding of ERP concepts, modules, and architecture.

Experience with ERP platforms Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems.

Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle Database, MySQL).

Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).

Additional technical experience in implementing and managing ICT security measures is an added advantage

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex business processes, identify requirements, and translate them into technical solutions within the ERP system.

Communication Skills: Effective communication skills are crucial for collaborating with stakeholders, understanding business needs, and explaining technical concepts to non-technical team members.
