The Vihiga County Public Service Board, a corporate entity established under Section 57 of the County Government Act 2012 in accordance with Article 235 of the Kenya 2010 Constitution, is seeking qualified individuals for various positions.

Description
- Clerical Officer:
- Responsibilities: Perform general office duties such as filing, data entry, handling correspondence, and assisting with the organization of office activities. Maintain records, prepare meeting minutes, and manage office supplies.
- Requirements: Diploma in Business Administration or a related field. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Internal Auditor I:
- Responsibilities: Conduct audits to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and the organization’s policies. Prepare audit reports and recommend improvements.
- Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification preferred.
- Principal Supply Chain Management Officer:
- Responsibilities: Oversee the procurement and supply chain processes. Develop procurement strategies and manage supplier relationships.
- Requirements: Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field. Significant experience in supply chain management.
- Supply Chain Management Officer:
- Responsibilities: Assist in the procurement process, inventory management, and the maintenance of procurement records.
- Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- Senior Sub-County Revenue Officer:
- Responsibilities: Oversee revenue collection activities within the sub-county. Develop strategies to improve revenue collection and compliance.
- Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field. Experience in revenue collection or financial management.
- Economist:
- Responsibilities: Conduct economic analysis, research economic issues, and develop economic policies.
- Requirements: Master’s degree in Economics or a related field. Experience in economic research and policy formulation.
- Assistant Director Industries & Research:
- Responsibilities: Lead initiatives to develop local industries and conduct industrial research. Formulate policies to promote industrial growth.
- Requirements: Master’s degree in Industrial Development, Economics, or a related field. Experience in industry development and research.
- Assistant Director Innovation, Digital Economy, and Start Up:
- Responsibilities: Promote innovation and the growth of the digital economy. Support startups and develop policies to foster entrepreneurial ecosystems.
- Requirements: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field. Experience in innovation management or digital economy sectors.
- Assistant Director Tourism Development & Promotion:
- Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategies for tourism development and promotion. Manage tourism projects and initiatives.
- Requirements: Master’s degree in Tourism Management, Marketing, or a related field. Experience in tourism development and marketing.
- Co-operative Officer II:
- Responsibilities: Assist in the development and regulation of cooperative societies. Provide training and support to cooperatives.
- Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Cooperative Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Assistant Co-operative Officer III:
- Responsibilities: Support cooperative societies in their development and operational functions. Facilitate access to financial and educational resources.
- Requirements: Diploma in Cooperative Management or a related field.
- Audit Examiner III:
- Responsibilities: Conduct financial and compliance audits. Examine and analyze accounting records.
- Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Relevant certifications may be preferred.
- Clinical Pathologist:
- Responsibilities: Perform laboratory tests, diagnose diseases, and ensure the quality of lab procedures.
- Requirements: Medical degree with a specialization in Pathology. Must be licensed to practice.
- County Director of Physical Planning:
- Responsibilities: Oversee land use and physical planning activities for the county. Develop and implement physical planning policies and regulations.
- Requirements: Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, or a related field. Significant experience in physical planning and development control.
- Principal Information Communication Technology Officer:
- Responsibilities: Lead the ICT department, develop ICT strategies, and ensure the implementation of technology solutions.
- Requirements: Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience in IT management and strategy.
- Director Internal Audit:
- Responsibilities: Lead the internal audit department, plan and conduct comprehensive audits, and advise on risk management.
- Requirements: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Public Accountant qualification.
- Deputy Director Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Responsibilities: Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of projects and programs. Develop M&E systems and frameworks.
- Requirements: Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Economics, Statistics, or Project Management. Experience in monitoring and evaluation.
- Principal Internal Auditor:
- Responsibilities: Conduct advanced internal audits, manage audit teams, and develop audit plans.
- Requirements: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certification as a Certified Public Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor.
