We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-driven, and passionate travel ethuasist whose primary role shall be to develop, market, and sell tours packages. The Tours and Travel person shall be responsible for sourcing for client, tour partners engagement including hotels, planning travel packages and co-ordinate travel all experiences in the itineraries that is accommodation, transport, tours and visas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Create and sell local and international tours, safaris and excursion packages and upsell to clients.
  2. Use of digital marketing initiatives (social media, website, content creation etc) and other marketing tools to drive business growth.
  3. Manage all the details of the tour bookings, both inbound and outbound and ensure communications is done to service providers on time.
  4. Meets targets set by ensuring there is adequate engagement with leads and follow ups to close seles and make collections for each tour booking in advance.
  5. Identify partnership required with local or international agencies, hotels, car hire and other service providers for best competitive contract rates.
  6. Manage all client experiences and ensure any concerns raised are properly resolved for the benefit of the client.
  7. Take ownership of the booking to ensure that customer care of the highest quality is delivered.
  8. Develop informative reports for management decision making as required.
  9. Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor’s Degree (2nd class honors upper division) in Tours and Travel, Communications, PR or related field.
  2. Digital marketing skills and good computer skills are essential.
  3. Excellent communication skills and attentive to detail.
  4. A self driven ethuthiast in tours and travel, proactive to bring success to a new entity.
  5. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task without direct supervision, and work well in a team context, while sharing ideas.
  6. Great knowledge of the East Africa’s tourist attractions.
