As a Project Officer, you will play a crucial role in implementing project activities, fostering partnerships, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality results that align with project objectives. This position requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to driving positive change.
The role
The successful jobholder will be expected to:
- Conduct regular visits to cooperative societies to monitor project activities, gather feedback, and prepare detailed reports.
- Support field digital agents in fulfilling their responsibilities at cooperative societies.
- Coordinate and lead joint field activities with project partners, including equipment suppliers and digital agents.
- Manage customer service issues related to project activities.
- Assist in conducting training needs assessments and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Collect and maintain accurate data on project indicators.
- Monitor and track project performance at the cooperative society level.
- Support the program team in analyzing monitoring data and making informed decisions.
- Assist in preparing periodic project reports based on data and information.
- Collaborate with the Monitoring and Evaluation team to track outcomes and enhance reporting quality.
- Identify and document success stories and case studies from implemented projects.
- Participate in baseline, mid-term, and end-of-project evaluations.
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes
The successful jobholder will be required to possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
- Relevant experience in working with cooperatives is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- A valid driving license with at least two years’ experience driving Class E vehicles.
- Strong driving skills.
- Business development acumen.
- A high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and negotiation skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Ability to write reports and deliver presentations effectively.
