U.S. Embassy Nairobi Hiring INL Program

Duties

The Program Associate (PA) will serve as the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL)/Nairobi’s Contracting Officers’ Representative (COR) and Grants Officers’ Representative (GOR). This role includes working with Contracting Officers (CO), Grants Officers (GO), and the INL Program Office in the oversight and management of contracts and grants funded by INL.

Additionally, the PA will assist with other programmatic support tasks including mandatory End Use Monitoring, invitational travel, and Leahy Vetting. The PA reports to the INL Deputy in the INL Office.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

Option 1.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 4 years of progressive administrative work, or similar work requiring strong organizational skills is required.

EDUCATION: A bachelor’s degree in business management, International Relations or Project Management is required.

OR

Option 2

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 6 years of progressive administrative work, or similar work requiring strong organizational skills is required.

EDUCATION: 2 years of College/University studies

OR

Option 3

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 8 years of progressive administrative work, or similar work requiring strong organizational skills is required.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma

JOB KNOWLEDGE: 

Applicants must have intermediate knowledge of the MS Office Suite and other proprietary software, including the International Vetting and Security Tracking System (INVEST), Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS), ILMS End-Use Monitoring, and ILMS ARIBA Spend Management. Additionally, knowledge of clerical and office administrative processes is required, along with an understanding of embassy protocol and processes.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Strong writing and reporting skills, along with typing and numerical abilities, are necessary for success in this position. Organizational skills and the ability to follow through on tasks are also crucial. The ability to interact tactfully with U.S. Government (USG), host country, and other officials is required. Additionally, candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
