BRANCH MANAGER – DUNGA/RUARAKA BRANCH

PURPOSE:
The job holder will be responsible for driving branch performance against key performance standards as communicated and agreed with the head of business segment in areas such as; Balance sheet growth (funded and non-funded lines) sales growth & income contribution, cost performance, credit management, employee satisfaction, customer experience & Operational risk & control management. They will also be responsible for providing the right leadership to branch staff and inculcating a high-performance culture at branch level.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prospecting for new business from new and existing clients.
- Preparing call reports with recommendations and submitting them for approval.
- Driving branch business performance by achieving growth in performance parameters.
- Monitoring branch sales performance and portfolio growth to meet targets.
- Identifying business improvement opportunities and suggesting service enhancements, product improvements, and process changes.
- Understanding local business drivers impacting branch performance.
- Submitting weekly activity reports including business acquired and customer issues.
- Analyzing financial statements, assessing credit requests, and presenting findings and recommendations to approvers.
- Managing collateral registration process and ensuring timely securities perfection.
- Overseeing excess drawings and loan arrears to maintain asset quality.
- Ensuring branch service excellence through monitoring and resolution planning.
- Building a motivated branch team, ensure compliance, and monitoring operational performance while maintaining high service standards.
Job Specifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science or related field
- Over Ten (10) years’ relevant experience with over Three (3) years in management in a similar organization.
- Member of Associate of Kenya Institute of Bankers (AKIB) or its equivalent professional body.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong people management and Leadership skills.
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
