The Commission on Administrative Justice (Office of the Ombudsman), a constitutional entity established under Article 59(4), Chapter Fifteen of the Constitution and the Commission on Administrative Justice Act, 2011, invites dynamic and motivated individuals to apply for various positions within our organization.

With the mandate to address maladministration within the public sector in Kenya and to oversee the enforcement of the Access to Information Act, 2016, we play a crucial role in promoting fairness, accountability, and transparency across government services.

Job Descriptions and Roles:

1. Driver II: As a Driver II, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of personnel and materials. Your role includes route planning, vehicle maintenance, and ensuring adherence to all traffic and safety regulations. You will support the effective mobility of staff and resources essential for the operational needs of the Commission.

2. Clerical Officer II: Clerical Officers are pivotal in managing daily administrative tasks such as data entry, file management, and supporting office communication. Your responsibilities will include processing documents, maintaining databases, and assisting in the preparation of office reports. You will ensure that administrative processes run smoothly and efficiently, supporting the broader objectives of the Commission.

3. Investigations Officer I: Investigations Officers are tasked with conducting thorough investigations into complaints of maladministration and abuse of power within public services. Your duties involve gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and compiling detailed reports. Your work will directly contribute to upholding justice and maintaining public trust in government institutions.

4. Planning and Strategy Officer I: As a Planning and Strategy Officer, you will develop, implement, and monitor strategic plans that align with the Commission’s goals. Your role includes analyzing performance data, recommending improvements, and ensuring that strategic initiatives are executed effectively. You will be instrumental in shaping the direction and impact of the Commission’s activities.

5. Senior Compliance Officer: The Senior Compliance Officer will oversee the implementation of regulatory compliance and ethics programs within the Commission. Your responsibilities include conducting audits, developing compliance programs, and training staff on compliance-related issues. You will play a key role in ensuring that the Commission operates within legal frameworks and maintains high standards of ethical conduct.
