We’re currently seeking Outreach Team Leaders for our locations in Nairobi and Meru. These positions are critical to ensuring that underserved communities receive essential family planning and sexual reproductive health services.
About Marie Stopes Kenya
Marie Stopes Kenya is a leading NGO affiliated with Marie Stopes International. We specialize in delivering PAC services, quality sexual and reproductive healthcare, and family planning to some of the world’s most vulnerable populations. We aim to reduce unsafe abortions and ensure that women have the right to choose when and how they have children.
Our Outreach Teams are vital in bringing our services to remote and underserved areas. They work with local stakeholders to build the capacity of Ministry of Health (MoH) personnel, ensuring sustainability beyond project funding.
Position: Outreach Team Leader
Location: Nairobi and Meru
Reports to: Channel Lead Outreach
Probation Period: 3 months
Number of Positions: 2

Key Responsibilities
The Outreach Team Leader will be accountable for ensuring the efficient and high-quality delivery of outreach services. You will be responsible for managing your team, driving performance, and ensuring that services are inclusive and sustainable.
1. Service Planning and Delivery
- Develop and share monthly activity plans that align with contract requirements.
- Ensure efficient delivery of services that meet agreed clinical quality standards.
- Maintain proper stock levels and conduct daily vehicle stock control.
- Collect and submit client feedback for continuous improvement.
- Liaise with local stakeholders to build awareness and capacity within the community.
2. Community Outreach and Engagement
- Reach underserved communities with high-impact family planning services.
- Work towards transitioning outreach sites to permanent service sites.
- Engage with community leaders and the marketing team to enhance service visibility.
- Ensure efficient use of permanent method providers for high-quality service delivery.
3. Resource and Budget Management
- Manage team budgets to enable continuous service delivery.
- Plan quarterly procurements guided by usage and quality requirements.
- Maintain a two-month stock buffer and ensure prudent vehicle management.
4. Data Collection and Reporting
- Track performance through monthly dashboard reports.
- Ensure timely data entry and submission for donor reports.
- Document and share success stories to highlight program impacts.
- Maintain accurate records of client data and consent forms.
5. Sustainability and Capacity Building
- Develop sustainability plans for services and skills.
- Collaborate with MoH providers to mentor them on family planning services.
- Promote MSK centers and private sector networks for long-term service sustainability.
6. Team Management
- Set individual objectives for team members and track performance.
- Conduct regular one-on-one and group meetings to provide feedback and guidance.
- Organize monthly Continuous Medical Education (CME) sessions.
- Ensure team compliance with organizational and regulatory guidelines.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achieve a minimum of 90% quality technical assessments (QTAs).
- Meet or exceed targets for service numbers and CYPs (Couple Years of Protection).
- Maintain cost-efficiency per CYP and ensure budget accuracy.
- Document and share progress reports and success stories regularly.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven supervisory experience in healthcare, with a focus on family planning services.
- Strong customer-focused service delivery skills.
- Numeracy and basic accounting skills.
- Proficient in IT and confident using MS Office tools.
- Excellent people management and leadership skills.
