County Conservancies Coordinator – Turkana County
Location: Based in Lodwar Town to support new conservancies and government engagement.

Job Summary:
The County Conservancies Coordinator will oversee and coordinate the NRT member community led conservancies towards self-reliance, ensuring the integration of sustainable conservation, management and utilization of natural resources, protection of the ecological integrity of the community land; peace building and community policing to resolve natural resource related conflicts; develop conservancy tourism and other economic businesses, and prudent livestock husbandry to transform the livelihoods of the members of the conservancies within the Regional.
The role will be pivotal in strengthening the partnership and linkages between NRT member conservancies, government, and other key stakeholder to secure policy, laws, and financial support to achieve regional community led conservancy sustainability. He/she will be equally promoting conservancy’s’ leadership and management governance structures embracing social inclusivity (gender and special groups mainstreaming) with the aim of increasing their participation in decision making processes in the conservancy operations and programs.

Job Summary:
The Project Finance Manager will be part of the project management unit, responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the finances of the project and ensure compliance with the EU financial policy as well as statutory financial requirements. The role will ensure Project and partners operations are running smoothly and effectively, ensuring prudent management of donor funds. The role will also be responsible for Consolidating partner’s financial requirement and follow up with NRT Finance to ensure they are delivered according to the directives of the proposal.
