Job Title: Partnerships Intern
Location: Nairobi, Kenya (You must have the right to work in Kenya)
Contract Duration: Six months, full-time
Remuneration: Stipend available

Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Partnerships Activities
As a Partnerships Intern, you will support the Partnerships Unit by:
- Identifying new business opportunities through Request for Proposal (RFP) searches.
- Conducting research to inform proposal development, such as contextual insights and client/project information.
- Supporting strategic development activities, including industry stakeholder mapping.
- Preparing materials for partner, donor, and networking meetings.
- Providing administrative support, such as taking meeting notes, collating documents, and assisting with bids.
2. Proposal Support
- Updating and formatting documents, including policies and presentations, using tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Google Slides.
- Ensuring adherence to Samuel Hall’s brand identity and style guidelines.
- Proofreading and copy-editing proposals to meet high-quality standards.
- Assisting research teams in preparing outputs like reports and briefs for external dissemination.
- Conducting background research for media messaging and opinion pieces.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Google Suite, and social platforms like Twitter and LinkedIn.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
- Willingness to travel periodically and work irregular hours when necessary.
- Fluency in French is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the Middle East, North Africa, Central/South Asia, or East and Horn of Africa contexts.
- Professional writing experience.
- Fluency in additional languages such as Arabic.
