- Supply Chain Officer

Role Summary:
The Supply Chain Officer will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of the Conservancy’s supply chain. This includes procurement, inventory management, vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws. The position will assist in reducing operational costs while maintaining high standards in logistics, transportation, and supply chain processes.
Responsibilities:
- Process timely orders, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Collaborate with the Senior Stores Officer to manage inventory levels and optimize stock.
- Manage transportation logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods to various sites.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
- Monitor and report supply chain performance, identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
- Assist in ensuring supply chain compliance with ethical, environmental, and legal standards.
- Generate periodic reports on requisitions, purchasing status, and cost analysis.
- Develop and implement KPIs to track supply chain efficiency and performance.
- Identify and resolve supply chain bottlenecks in consultation with the Supply Chain Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Must be a registered member of KISM with CIPS qualifications.
- At least 3 years of experience in supply chain management or procurement.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Infor Sun-systems.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work independently.
