To design and deliver a program of teaching to students, in order to enable them to complete their studies successfully and the University to generate income; to develop and carry out research projects to extend knowledge of the relevant subject area; to provide service to the community and the professions; to translate knowledge into practice; to write or publish books or other creative works.Duties and responsibilitiesqualification and experience
- PhD/Doctorate in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science or equivalent degree qualification in a relevant area from a recognised/ accredited university.
- Master of Science in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science degree or a related area from a recognised/accredited university.
- Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science degree or a relevant field from a recognised/accredited University.
- At least three (3) years of teaching/research experience at the University level.
- A minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points, of which at least sixteen (16) should be from refereed journal articles.
- Attended and contributed at academic conferences, seminars and workshops.
- A valid practising licence from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
