The Nairobi Hospital has an exciting career opportunity for the role of Lead Application Development Engineer (REF: TNH/HRD/LADE/01/2025). This position focuses on optimizing hospital operations, enhancing system reliability, and driving innovation through technology. The role includes leading application development, managing IT infrastructure, and overseeing quality assurance, while ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director ICT on product development and integration with HMIS.
  • Lead agile development, manage system testing, and oversee the implementation of third-party systems.
  • Supervise IT infrastructure management, ensuring scalability and security.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and continuous optimization of hospital systems.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and quality management systems.
  • Lead and mentor an ICT team to foster collaboration and innovation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fields (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in IT, including 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Expertise in application development, cloud computing, DevOps, and hospital information systems.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
