KISM is mandated to oversee the training, registration, and licensing of supply chain professionals while regulating the practice to uphold high ethical and professional standards.
As part of its strategic growth and commitment to excellence, KISM is seeking a highly competent, dynamic, and results-oriented professional to take up the position of Registrar (Director, Registration and Licensing). Key Responsibilities:
The Registrar (Director, Registration and Licensing) will be responsible for the following:
- Overseeing the registration and licensing of supply chain practitioners in compliance with the SPMA Act.
- Developing and implementing strategic policies and frameworks for registration and licensing processes.
- Ensuring adherence to professional standards and regulatory requirements within the supply chain industry.
- Supervising the maintenance of an accurate and up-to-date register of all licensed practitioners.
- Coordinating compliance audits and enforcement actions against unregistered or non-compliant practitioners.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to enhance the growth and recognition of the supply chain profession in Kenya.
- Spearheading the adoption of technology-driven solutions to streamline registration and licensing operations.
- Providing leadership and guidance to the Registration and Licensing Department, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Developing and overseeing programs for capacity building and continuous professional development of supply chain practitioners.
- Representing KISM in national and international forums to promote best practices in supply chain management.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Academic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Law, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
Professional Qualifications & Membership:
- Must be a registered member of KISM or an equivalent professional body.
- A valid Practicing License issued by KISM or a relevant licensing authority.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience, with at least five (5) years in a senior leadership role in supply chain management, procurement, regulation, or licensing.
