Role Summary
The Industrial Designer/UX Designer will focus on creating user-centred designs for the C3-EWS platform, ensuring that both digital and physical interfaces are intuitive, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. This role will involve close collaboration with developers and end-users to incorporate feedback and improve system usability.
Responsibilities
1. Design and prototype user interfaces for the C3-EWS platform, emphasizing usability and accessibility.
2. Conduct user research to understand community needs and preferences.
3. Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless integration of design elements into the system.
4. Develop wireframes, mockups, and design specifications for approval.
5. Test and refine designs based on user feedback and usability testing sessions.
6. Ensure that the system adheres to best practices in industrial and UX design.
7. Create user guides and training materials to support system adoption.
8. Work closely with the Community Engagement Coordinator to incorporate traditional knowledge into design solutions.
9. Stay updated on design trends and emerging tools to enhance project outcomes.
10. Document the design process, including iterations and final decisions, for reporting and future reference.
11. Provide support during system rollouts to address user queries and design issues.
12. Advocate for user-centric approaches throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, UX Design, or related field.
● Experience in both digital and physical design projects.
● Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, or equivalent.
