HIV_TB Program Officer

Job Description

  1. Oversee the county’s implementation and monitoring of the 95–95–95 HIV cascade.
  2. Work with partners and HCWs to ensure HIV prevention, care, and treatment
    workplans align to the program goals and objectives.
  3. Implement innovative approaches to HIV care, including the integration of HIV
    services into (MNCH) services, NCD, Family Planning (FP), and Gender-Based Violence
    (GBV) interventions.
  4. Conduct regular site visits to health facilities to provide technical assistance in HIV
    prevention, care and prevention programs.
  5. Provide clinical training and mentorship to healthcare workers on the management of
    HIV, including pediatric ART, tuberculosis, and other opportunistic infections, in line
    with the national guidelines.
  6. Participate in HIV related meetings, including clinical case reviews and quality
    assurance sessions, while promoting continuing medical education for healthcare
    providers

Job specifications

  1. A minimum of diploma in either Clinical Medicine or Nursing
  2. At least 7 years of experience in HIV care and treatment program implementation, with
    demonstrated experience in mentoring clinical teams.
  3. Strong technical knowledge of HIV care and treatment guidelines, including PMTCT, ART,
    and TB/HIV co-infection management.
  4. Excellent communication, collaboration, and report-writing skills; ability to work
    independently and in a team environment; demonstrated experience in stakeholder
    engagement and innovative program delivery.

Data Clerk

Job Purpose
Working under the supervision of the PI in Kenya, Co-investigator, KNH and the Project
Coordinators. Will be expected to spend (per week) 20 hours on the EWSS project work and 20
hours on related duties assigned by KNH. He/she will be responsible for tracking the hours worked
each month.
Job Description

  1. Complete training in the project REDCap database platform
  2. Access patients’ files from hospital medical records system
  3. Extract relevant data from patients’ files onto dedicated project case report forms

Job Specification
1) Basic degree or advanced diploma from a recognized institution of higher learning. Applicants
with ordinary diploma should provide evidence of additional training on cancer registries or
health-related fields.
2) Computer literacy (Excel, MS Word) and proficiency with spreadsheets and online forms
3) Experience in data entry
4) Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English and Kiswahili
5) The candidate must possess good interpersonal skills
6) Ability to pay attention to detail
7) Ability to maintain confidentiality of information gathered during the work

Research Assistant/Coordinator

Job Purpose


The candidate will support the program’s daily operations, including management of
training and referral data, liaising with the study teams in Cameroon and Canada, and
coordinating local activities such as stakeholder interviews and training sessions.

Job Description

  1. Support adaptation of training materials, including PowerPoint presentations, pre
    and post-tests, and visual tools (i.e., infographics, flyers).
  2. Support the facilitation of live training sessions and coordinate virtual training
    activities as needed.
  3. Track implementation of the intervention.
  4. Serve as the main point of contact for all trainees and trainers.
  5. Support data collection, including in-person verbal survey administration to patient
    families.
  6. Support stakeholder interview scheduling and facilitation.
  7. Monitor and track training activities, including attendance and training completion.
  8. Participate in key informant interview coordination and conduct.
  9. Assist with data entry, cleaning, and analysis.
    10.Undertake other duties as delegated by the supervisor.

Job Specification

  1. Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, public health, a health-related field or in
    project management.
  2. Computer literacy (Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, formal email correspondence) and
    spreadsheet manipulation experience are required.
  3. Experience with project management.
  4. Experience with data collection, in-person interviews.
  5. The candidate must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal
    and written) and excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
    with strong attention to detail.
  6. Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of education and
    experience.
  7. Willingness to travel to study counties for EWSS training sessions.
  8. Proficiency in English and Swahili
