We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven professional to join our team as the Manager – Wellness at Jubilee Health Insurance Limited. This role is based at our Head Office in Nairobi and reports to the Chief Operations Officer.

Position: Manager – Wellness
Role Purpose
The Manager – Wellness will lead the development, execution, and management of corporate wellness programs. The role focuses on driving strategic initiatives to enhance customer and employee well-being, integrating wellness solutions into insurance products, and fostering a culture of preventive healthcare. Additionally, the Manager will oversee the implementation of Value-Based Care, population health initiatives, technology deployment, clinical integration, and strategic planning to enhance health outcomes and optimize Total Medical Expense Management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy
- Develop, implement, and supervise Wellness Programs using evidence-based guidelines to enhance value, drive clinical performance, improve retention, and reduce health disparities.
- Structure, implement, and oversee disease management programs and care coordination across the healthcare continuum.
- Develop and oversee performance metrics for new products and packages that promote preventive health services.
- Collaborate with the Leadership team on the development of annual Wellness strategic goals and objectives.
- Spearhead the development and successful rollout of preventive health technologies.
2. Operational Excellence
- Act as a key spokesperson on value-based care, educating clients, employees, and clinicians on healthcare advancements.
- Collaborate with care management and provider partnerships to align clinical priorities with Jubilee Health clients’ needs.
- Implement and evaluate population health strategies to improve utilization, quality of care, patient satisfaction, and cost efficiency.
- Work closely with the Head of Clinical Operations to identify key market drivers and develop targeted intervention plans.
- Ensure providers adhere to best clinical practices and cost of care standards while addressing any performance concerns.
- Monitor disease trends and cost metrics to ensure the efficient delivery of value-based care within quality standards.
- Align and implement quality metrics related to patient care, working closely with the Head of Clinical Operations.
- Conduct real-time analysis of disease trends based on claims data and recommend appropriate clinical interventions.
- Provide medical expertise in the development of clinical disease and population health management strategies.
- Oversee the implementation of medical management initiatives and ensure compliance with clinical review policies and pharmacy benefits management.
- Supervise prospective, concurrent, and retrospective reviews of medical services provided to policyholders.
3. Leadership & Culture
- Guide and support health navigators in their communication with providers to establish clinical programs that enhance efficiency and quality of care.
- Supervise third-party providers contracted for Chronic Disease and Population Health Management services.
- Oversee third-party Telehealth Service providers to ensure optimal performance.
4. Corporate Governance & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to external laws, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT), and Data Protection regulations, as required by industry regulators.
- Implement internal compliance programs and ensure operational adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Develop and enforce internal policies, processes, and procedures to maintain a high standard of operational compliance.
- Promote a strong ethical culture, leading by example and encouraging transparency in reporting compliance concerns.
- Foster a corporate culture of integrity, compliance, and adherence to legal and ethical standards.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of the healthcare system, including insurance plans, medical terminology, and industry regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients, healthcare providers, and internal teams.

Academic & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Clinical Medicine & Surgery.
- A Master’s degree in Healthcare Management or Public Health is an added advantage.
Relevant Experience
- At least 5+ years of experience in wellness program management, health promotion, or corporate wellness within insurance, healthcare, or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of preventive healthcare, employee wellness, and behavioral health strategies.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing wellness programs with measurable outcomes.
