NPSC Hiring In 24 Sections

Pursuant to the provisions of section 17 (1) of the NPSC Act, 2011 (revised 2014) and Article 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya, the Commission seeks to competitively fill vacant positions in the establishment.


Subsequently, the Commission invites applications from qualified persons to fill the following positions at the National Police Service Commission Headquarters and Regional Offices:-

Available Vacancies and Responsibilities

1. Office Assistant

  • Provide general office support including cleaning and organization.
  • Assist in mail distribution and office errands.
  • Maintain office supplies and ensure neat workspaces.
  • Perform other assigned clerical duties.

2. Clerical Officer II

  • Assist in documentation and filing.
  • Maintain and retrieve records as required.
  • Support administrative functions and data entry.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and correspondences.

3. ICT Officer II

  • Support ICT systems and infrastructure management.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Maintain data security and IT compliance protocols.
  • Assist in upgrading and maintaining ICT assets.

4. ICT Officer III

  • Provide first-level IT support to staff.
  • Assist in hardware and software maintenance.
  • Support network troubleshooting and system configurations.

5. Social Worker III

  • Conduct assessments and provide psychosocial support.
  • Maintain accurate case records and develop intervention strategies.
  • Facilitate rehabilitation and integration programs.

6. Information Officer II

  • Manage public relations and communication efforts.
  • Prepare and disseminate official statements and reports.
  • Engage stakeholders and respond to public inquiries.

7. Finance Officer II

  • Oversee financial transactions and reporting.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations.

8. Economist II

  • Conduct economic research and policy analysis.
  • Monitor financial trends and economic reports.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for decision-making.

9. Account Assistant III

  • Maintain financial records and assist in reconciliations.
  • Support bookkeeping and transaction processing.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations.

10. Records Management Officer II

  • Maintain and manage office records.
  • Oversee file organization and retrieval systems.
  • Ensure records’ security and confidentiality.

11. Records Management Officer III

  • Support document control and archiving.
  • Assist in classification and filing of official records.

12. Social Worker II

  • Provide counseling and psychosocial support services.
  • Engage in community outreach and rehabilitation programs.

13. Supply Chain Management Officer II

  • Oversee procurement processes and inventory control.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and guidelines.

14. Supply Chain Management Assistant

  • Assist in procurement documentation and supply chain logistics.
  • Monitor stock levels and procurement orders.

15. Human Capital Management Officer II

  • Handle human resource planning and policy implementation.
  • Support recruitment, training, and staff development.

16. Human Capital Management Assistant

  • Support HR administrative tasks including record-keeping.
  • Assist in onboarding and employee documentation.

17. Senior Counselor

  • Provide specialized counseling and mental health support.
  • Conduct employee wellness and intervention programs.

18. Counselor II

  • Offer counseling services and support.
  • Conduct group therapy and individual counseling sessions.

19. Manager, Administration

  • Oversee administrative operations and logistics.
  • Ensure efficiency in office management and resource allocation.

20. Manager, Supply Chain Management

  • Lead procurement strategies and supply chain operations.
  • Oversee vendor contracts and service agreements.

21. Manager, Internal Audit

  • Conduct internal audits and compliance assessments.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance accountability.

22. Director, Information, Communication Technology (ICT)

  • Lead ICT strategy and digital transformation efforts.
  • Ensure cybersecurity and IT governance compliance.

23. Director, Finance & Administration

  • Provide financial and administrative leadership.
  • Oversee budgeting and financial reporting.

24. Deputy Director, Finance & Accounts

  • Support financial planning and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and risk management frameworks

Other Requirements
i. Shortlisted candidates will be expected to bring the original certificates for verification during the interview.
ii. Shortlisted candidates for the position of Managers and above will be required to satisfy the requirement of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 by obtaining clearance certificates from KRA, HELB, EACC, CRB and DCI.
