Pursuant to the provisions of section 17 (1) of the NPSC Act, 2011 (revised 2014) and Article 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya, the Commission seeks to competitively fill vacant positions in the establishment.

Subsequently, the Commission invites applications from qualified persons to fill the following positions at the National Police Service Commission Headquarters and Regional Offices.

Job Description

Duties and Responsbilities

  • Develop administrative strategies, policies, regulations and procedures;
  • Implement occupational health and safety standards in compliance with relevant legislation;
  • Formulate and implement annual Administration budget;
  • Develop and implement annual departmental work plan and procurement plan;
  • Develop key performance targets, appraise staff and recommend staff training needs within the department;
  • Monitor valuation and insurance of all Commission assets;
  • Facilitate and supervise implementation of all Commission capital projects;
  • Initiate mobilization of transport and logistical services in the Commission;
  • Supervise general administration services including Transport, Security, front office and hospitality services;
  • Facilitate provision of office accommodation, workspace and tools for staff;
  • Monitor fleet schedules, repairs and maintenance and review administrative expenditures;
  • Provide response to administrative audit queries/observations and implement audit recommendations;
  • Develop the unit�s budget estimates and procurement plan;
  • Monitor creation of physical asset database and inventory;
  • Facilitate Commission functions, briefs and programmes.

Requirements

  • Eight (8) years of service, of which three (3) must be in a comparable position from a reputable organization;
  • Master�s Degree in any of the following: Public Administration, Business Administration or Economics from a recognized institution;
  • Membership of a recognized professional body;
  • Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
  • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

Remuneration Package:

Basic Salary: As per NPSC salary Structure

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable

Anual Leave: 30 working days per financial year

Allowances: NA

Medical Cover: As existing in the Commission

Other Requirements
