Job Summary:

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Physiotherapist to join our growing team. As our clinic continues to expand, we are looking to bring on a passionate professional who can provide exceptional care and support to our patients. The Physiotherapist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with a range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiovascular conditions. They will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote recovery, improve mobility, and prevent further injury.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the patient’s physical conditions to diagnose movement and functional issues within the scope of your training
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, pain management modalities, and assistive device training to improve strength, mobility, balance, and overall functional independence.
  • Collaborate with the orthopedic and clinical departments to provide integrated care and refer patients to specialized facilities or higher-level hospitals when advanced care is required.
  • Maintain accurate patient treatment records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in the EMR, while preparing and submitting reports to maintain compliance with Medical center policies.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of physiotherapy equipment and advocate for acquiring necessary resources to deliver quality care
  • Comply with all healthcare regulations, guidelines, and policies, ensuring patient safety and quality of care.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract new patients and retain existing ones, aiming for growth in patient numbers for the physiotherapy clinic.
  • Uphold the Penda Way of working demonstrated by interactions with patients and colleagues.

Key Requirements and Attributes:

  • Higher Diploma in Physiotherapy (Orthopedic Manual Physiotherapy)
  • Registered with the Kenya Society of Physiotherapists (KSP) and possess a valid practicing license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience after internship with valid practicing license.
  • Great team player with a drive for results and enjoys being part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and patience to address patients’ concerns.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
