PURPOSE
Reporting to the ICT Enterprise Systems Manager, the role holder will manage CIC Group’s integration components, ensuring seamless data exchange through modern integration services while maintaining system availability and performance as per SLAs. They will support continuous improvement of the integration landscape through proactive monitoring, implementation of emerging technologies, and adherence to enterprise architectural standards to deliver exceptional integration support to internal and external systems.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain CIC Group’s integration framework, including technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and support guidelines to ensure operational excellence and exceptional integration support delivery.
- Implement and maintain high-availability integration solutions, incorporating fault tolerance and load balancing strategies while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity and data privacy requirements.
- Execute the monitoring and maintenance of middleware environments, including periodic patching, configuration management, health checks, and SLA performance reporting to maintain optimal system performance.
- Collaborate with technology, development, and architecture teams to optimize data exchange between systems, proactively identifying and resolving integration challenges while ensuring smooth deployment of integration solutions.
- Implement and maintain comprehensive observability solutions for the integration landscape, establishing proactive exception identification and escalation mechanisms through detailed monitoring protocols.
- Support the modernization of integration infrastructure by leveraging expertise in emerging technologies to implement enterprise-grade designs that enhance operational efficiency, including transition planning and practice implementation.
- Maintain vendor relationships for integration components, including service agreement negotiations and performance monitoring against established SLAs.
- Collaborate with support teams to troubleshoot platform issues, tune environment configurations, and optimize system performance based on analytical findings and systematic environment analysis.
- Execute preventive maintenance and routine health assessments, maintaining expertise in modern integration services to ensure components meet performance and availability targets through detailed maintenance procedures.
- Maintain integration solutions alignment with the group’s enterprise architecture standards while tracking performance metrics, maintaining SLA compliance, and supporting business growth objectives through continuous system evolution.
Key Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Behavioural Competencies
Specific Field or Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field of study.
- Professional certifications in a middleware platform (e.g., MuleSoft, Oracle SOA, IBM Integration Bus) is an added advantage
- API Management, Cloud Integration, or DevSec Ops certifications is an added advantage
Experience Required
- 4 years relevant experience
Skills and Competencies:
· Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in Information Technology, with specific focus on integration platforms
· Proven experience in SOA services, API management and database integration.
· Experience with high-availability systems, performance tuning, and SLA management
· Strong background in monitoring tools, observability platforms, and system documentation
· Experience in vendor management and stakeholder collaboration
Technical Skills
· Experience implementing common messaging transports/standards (SSL, Message Models, REST, JSON, SOAP, File Processing)
