Manage Mobile Channels’ product and channel development across all Group subsidiaries. Develop and implement a Group-wide Mobile Channel strategy that leverages technology, innovation, and market insights to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Focus on enhancing mobile banking channels and ensuring seamless integration with evolving technologies while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Drive innovation in mobile banking channels, including:
- Mobile Banking App
- Mobile STK
- USSD
- Chatbot Banking
- Notification Services (SMS)
- Web Channels
Key objectives include building cutting-edge, user-friendly digital products, optimizing channel efficiency, and fostering collaboration with subsidiaries to deliver consistent performance and customer satisfaction. Establish strong partnerships with fintechs, regulators, and third-party partners while proactively managing security and fraud risks.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance the Group’s mobile banking products and channels, focusing on usability, scalability, and innovation.
- Lead the design, development, and rollout of new mobile banking products, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends.
- Collaborate with IT and digital teams to implement seamless integration of mobile banking solutions across all subsidiaries.
- Foster partnerships with fintechs and third-party solution providers to introduce cutting-edge technologies and expand the bank’s digital ecosystem.
- Drive adoption of APIs to enable seamless integration with external partners and enhance product offerings for merchants, billers, and agents.
- Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment, ensuring alignment with the bank’s strategic goals.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and implement robust security measures to protect customer data and financial transactions.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of mobile banking channels, using data insights to identify opportunities for product and channel enhancements.
- Lead the development of user-friendly, automated onboarding processes for mobile channels, improving accessibility and customer experience.
- Collaborate with subsidiaries to ensure consistent product offerings and performance across all Group markets.
- Proactively identify and mitigate fraud risks across all digital platforms.
- Deliver regular performance reports, including metrics on subscriptions, deployments, customer satisfaction, and financial outcomes, to Group management.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement in channel and product development, encouraging innovation and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in product and channel development within the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong technical background with experience in digital platforms, APIs, and mobile banking technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and drive the development of scalable, user-friendly digital products.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Customer-centric mindset with a strong commitment to improving user experiences and accessibility.
- Extensive experience in mobile banking product development, channel strategy, and digital innovations.

- Deep understanding of mobile banking technologies, including USSD, STK, and app-based platforms.
