The Parliamentary Service Commission invites applications from qualified individuals for the following positions, available for a five-year renewable term:
1. Director, Hansard and Audio Services – National Assembly (PSC/NA/01/2025) – 1 Vacancy
2. Director, Hansard and Audio Services – Senate (PSC/SEN/01/2025) – 1 Vacancy
Key Responsibilities:
Managerial Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Directorate to ensure smooth workflow.
- Supervise and mentor staff for enhanced performance and motivation.
- Allocate duties and ensure staff discipline and compliance with regulations.
- Prepare and manage the Directorate’s budget and procurement plans.
- Align the Directorate’s goals with the organization’s strategic plan.
- Formulate policies and guidelines for Hansard and Audio Services.
- Represent the Directorate in national and international professional forums.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Supervise Hansard and Audio reporting, ensuring timely and accurate production of transcripts.
- Liaise with technical departments to maintain recording equipment functionality.
- Oversee transcription, proofreading, collation, and merging of Hansard reports.
- Ensure effective documentation, research, and archival of reports.
- Develop a document management system for easy retrieval of records.
- Coordinate with other directorates to enhance service delivery.
