The Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) is a State Corporation established under the Insurance Act, Cap 487 of the Laws of Kenya. Its mandate is to regulate, supervise, and promote the development of the insurance industry in Kenya.
As part of its commitment to advancing actuarial expertise, the Authority is offering eight (8) fully funded scholarships for Kenyan citizens pursuing a Master of Science in Actuarial Management at Bayes Business School, United Kingdom. The scholarship will cover tuition, travel, accommodation, and other incidental expenses.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science with at least Upper Second-Class Honors or an equivalent qualification in Actuarial Science.
- Have graduated within the last six (6) years.
- Demonstrate significant progress towards becoming an Associate Member of the Institute or Faculty of Actuaries, with a minimum of five (5) professional actuarial papers completed.
