These roles offer a great opportunity to contribute to the county’s governance and service delivery in line with the County Governments Act, Revised Edition 2020.
Available Positions
1. Chairperson – Kisii County Public Service Board (1 Post)

Tenure: Contract
Remuneration: As prescribed by the Salary and Remuneration Commission (SRC)
Responsibilities:
- Chair meetings of the County Public Service Board.
- Guide the board in disciplinary matters and removal of public service officers.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to the County Assembly.
- Promote the values and principles of public service as outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution.
- Advise the County Government on human resource management and development.
- Oversee the implementation and monitoring of the national performance management system in the county.
- Make recommendations to the Salaries and Remuneration Commission on remuneration matters for county public service employees.
2. Secretary – County Public Service Board (1 Post)

Remuneration: As prescribed by the Salary and Remuneration Commission (SRC)
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Accounting and Authorized Officer of the Board.
- Oversee the operations of the Board’s Secretariat.
- Plan and budget for Board activities.
- Maintain official records, assets, and minutes of the Board.
- Communicate Board decisions effectively.
- Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports for submission to the County Assembly.
- Develop meeting agendas in consultation with the Chairperson and take minutes during meetings.
- Oversee staff performance and reward management programs.
- Develop programs and strategies necessary for achieving the Board’s mandate.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Board.

- Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
- Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
- Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
- Clearance from the Ethics & Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
- A Credit Report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
