At TechnoServe, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to build a better future. For over 50 years, we have been a global leader in leveraging business and market solutions to create sustainable pathways out of poverty. We work with enterprising individuals in low-income communities, helping them overcome challenges such as limited access to jobs, education, and markets, as well as the growing effects of climate change.
By collaborating with small-scale farmers and entrepreneurs, we drive economic development, increase incomes, and improve living standards. As a result, families gain access to healthcare, education, and essential services that were previously out of reach, leading to stronger communities and thriving economies.
About the Food Convergence Innovation for Africa (FCI4Africa) Initiative
TechnoServe is a key partner in the Food Convergence Innovation for Africa (FCI4Africa) initiative, a consortium of 14 organizations from Europe, Africa, and Canada. This initiative unites experts from diverse fields such as agriculture, social sciences, IT, policy, and business to address the urgent need for sustainable and climate-resilient food systems. A major focus of the program is to strengthen regional and Africa-EU trade by promoting innovative solutions and collaboration across sectors.
As the lead organization for Use Case 2 under Work Package (WP) 5, TechnoServe is developing digital and analytical tools in Nigeria and Kenya to enhance verification and certification of African agri-food products. These tools ensure compliance with rigorous sustainability, fairness, and equity standards. Building on successful initiatives like the Micronutrient Fortification Index (MFI) in Nigeria and the Kenya Millers Fortification Index (KMFI), TechnoServe is working to improve product quality, drive competition, and establish consistent standards across markets.
To advance these goals, we seek a dedicated Program Manager to lead and oversee our efforts under the FCI4Africa initiative in Nairobi, Kenya.
